César Lorenzano is currently the Director of the Department of Social Sciences at the National University of Tres de Febrero in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is the co-editor of the philosophical journal Metatheoría, Journal of Philosophy and History of Science. Trained in medicine at the University of Buenos Aires, he eventually obtained a PhD in philosophy by the UNAM (Mexico). His areas of research include philosophy and history of science, philosophy of medical knowledge, and philosophy of art. He has authored more than 70 articles and 25 chapters of books. In the last years, he has published as General editor a General History of Science in Argentina (2003-2011).
