Gabriel Vargas Lozano is a Full time Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Iztapalapa. México. Former President of the Asociación Filosófica de México (2002-2004). Author of numerous papers presented in International Congresses. Some books: Intervenciones filosóficas, qué hacer con la filosofía en América Latina? (UAEM, México,2007);  Filosofía para qué? Desafíos de la filosofía para el siglo XXI (UAM, México, 2014). Main fields: History of philosophy in Latin-América; Philosophy of History and Political Philosophy. Director of Dialéctica review. He is chair of FISP's Committee on the Teaching of Philosophy.
