Jacob Dahl Rendtorff is Professor of philosophy and ethics at the Department of Business and Social Sciences, Roskilde University, Denmark. Rendtorff is educated in philosophy and political sciences in Copenhagen, Paris, and Berlin, and he has been visiting professor in many universities (Utrecht, Rome, Freiburg, Boston, Stanford, Santa Clara, Louvain, Shanghai, Besançon, Paris, Tübingen, Oslo and Rennes). Rendtorff has taught in phenomenology and hermeneutics (Sartre, Arendt and Ricœur), ethics, business ethics, bioethics and biolaw, ethical economy, business philosophy, political theory, and philosophy of law. Presently, Rendtorff’ s main research interests are philosophy and ethics, intellectuals, French philosophy, existential philosophy, ontology, philosophy of management, stakeholder theory, sustainability, global responsibility, and cosmopolitan business ethics (Kant).
