Luca Maria Scarantino (PhD, EHESS) was elected as President of Fisp at the 24th World Congress of Philosophy, held in 2018 in Beijing, PR China. A Professor of Moral philosophy at the Aldo Moro University in Bari, Italy, his current research interests include the cross-cultural study of basic forms of human interaction such as persuasion, violence, trust, resentment, generosity, and love, along with the condition of democratic interaction in a post-national world. Editor in chief of the international journal Diogenes, he served as Secretary General of FISP from 2008 to 2018.
