Noriko Hashimoto, born in 1948, graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1974. Assistant at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Tokyo. Secretary-General of International Symposium of Eco-ethica (1981-2015), Secretary-General of International Societies for Metaphysics (1999-2009), Secretary-General of Tomonobu Imamichi Institute for Eco-ethica in Copenhagen, (2007- present). She received a Doctorate of Religious Culture on Studies on Levinas in 2001. With Peter Kemp she published four volumes of Eco-ethica.
