Luca Maria Scarantino

Luca Maria Scarantino is Professor of Moral and Intercultural Philosophy at the Aldo Moro University of Bari, Italy. His work focuses on the epistemic and moral condition of intercultural approaches in philosophy. He has authored over 150 scholarly papers and has an extensive record of international lectures and visiting professorships. He served as Secretary-general of FISP (2008-2018) and as President from 2018 to 2024. General Editor of the international journals Diogène (PUF) and Diogenes (Sage & CUP) from 2005 to 2024. Recently, he has been studying the social and intellectual conditions connected to the crisis of nation-states and the emergence of civilisation-states as main agents of a new global order.
