Biography
Xiangchen Sun is a distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Fudan University, specializing in early modern Western philosophy, Levinas's philosophy, and comparative philosophy. His publications include On Family: Individual and Qinqin (Affection for Kin) (2019), Facing the Other: On Levinas' Philosophical Thought (2008), and Metaphysics in the 17th Century (co-authored, 2006). He served as Dean of the School of Philosophy at Fudan University (2011-2023) and is currently the Director of the University's General Education Center.
